***Creating Islamic shapes***

open a new 300x300 pixel new file with white background
add a new layer which will work in in the layers palette,call it layer 1
use rectangular drawing tool with these settings to draw a square in the center of the image

repeat previos step but with W:180,H:180 until u get the following

right click on the image & choose make selction with following settings:

use paint bucket tool to fill selection with green color
adjust blending options with these settings:

right click on layer 1 in the layers palette & choose duplicate layer,..name it layer 2
now we are working on layer 2......press CTRL+T to make a free transform
go on the edges of th selection and rotate layer 2 until u get this:

now we have to adjust combination of the two layers
hold CTRL key & press on layer 2 in layers palette
choose layer 1 in layers palette
use the magic wand tool with tolerance=50..choose intersect with selection property
click on the parts that layer 1 intersects with layer 2

choose layer 2 in layers palette &use the eraser tool to erase 1selection &leave the next then erase 1 &leave the next.......etc
press CTRL+D to deselect u will get this:.
